HNB Supports Future Champions as Title Partner of National Age Group Aquatic Championships 2025

HNB PLC, one of Sri Lanka’s leading private sector banks, has partnered with the Sri Lanka Aquatic Sports Union (SLASU) as the Title Partner of the 2025 National Age Group Aquatic Championships, to be held from 7th May to 11th May at the Sugathadasa Indoor Swimming Pool Complex, Colombo.

The event will bring together over 1,700 young athletes from over a 100 schools and clubs across the country, competing across Swimming, Water Polo, Synchronised swimming and Diving disciplines. As the most prestigious national platform for age-group aquatic sports, the championships will also serve as a key trial to identify talent for future international representation.

HNB’s partnership with SLASU underscores the bank’s commitment to empowering Sri Lanka’s youth and fostering excellence in sports. With live telecasts on Dialog TV and online streaming via ThePapare.com, the event is expected to reach tens of thousands of viewers islandwide, reinforcing its national significance.

Commenting on the partnership, HNB Senior Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer, Sanjay Wijemanne, said,
