As part of its continuing journey to expand convenient, digitized banking services to every corner of Sri Lanka, the nation’s premier retail bank, HNB opened its 250th Deposit Enabled Machine at the Saprin Beach Resort in Uswetakeiyawa.
The addition of the bank’s latest machine complements its strong presence in the Wattala region where HNB now has the largest number of deposit touch-points in Sri Lanka.
Together with the bank’s extensive range of digital, internet and mobile banking services, HNB customers can now access any of the bank’s services remotely with complete ease and security.
Commenting on the bank’s latest expansion, HNB, Head of Digital Banking, Mangala Wickramasinghe said: “At HNB, we are committed to placing customers at the heart of the banking experience. While we have seen increased usage of online banking and mobile payments, we also understand some of our customers do have cash needs and our physical banking touch-points remain an important part of our network to fulfill these needs.
“Over the years, through our strategic partnerships, we have increased our presence across the country to make banking even more convenient for our customers. We remain true to our strategy of providing customers with the choice to bank the way they prefer.”
HNB maintains the most liberal cash withdrawal and fund transfer limits within the industry. Notably, HNB was the first bank in Sri Lanka to have its ATMs certified to enable Common Fund Transfer Switch (CEFTs) and the only bank to offer CEFTs through all channels - over the counter, Internet Banking, Mobile Banking and ATM.
