Hatton National Bank recently won the global brand leadership award for excellence in Banking and Financial Services at the Global Brand Excellence Awards held at the Taj Lands End, Mumbai, India. The event was organized by the World Brand Congress and is endorsedby the CMO Council Asia, Asian Confederation of Businesses and the World Federation of Marketing Professionals. The World Brand Congress is the single largest forum of the worlds most successful and sought after brands and is a meeting place for brand guardians and brand builders from diverse sectors covering every continent.
The Hatton National Bank brand was rated as the sixth most valuable brand in Sri Lanka by the Brand Finance Lanka (Affiliated to Brand Finance UK) for 2013 and is valued at Rs 13.7 Bn with a brand rating of AA. The HNB brand has been a symbol stability, strength and progress for Sri Lankans of all walks of life. And one of the main strengths of the brand is the reputation it has created over the years through individual brand advertising and value creation to win the trust of over 2 million Sri Lankans who have made it their trusted banking partner.
While the HNB brand has reaffirmed its presence in the market through financial performance, expansion, product development and brand strategy the bank has also created a number of strong sub brands in key categories especially in savings, children's savings , leasing, housing finance and micro finance which have taken leadership or is placed in the top quartile in the banking landscape in Sri Lanka.
