What is HNB Pathum Vimana?

Sri Lanka's first and most popular deposit draw scheme encourages customers to open Rupee savings accounts, save regularly and be rewarded. It offers all existing and new Pathum Vimana accountholders an opportunity to win fabulous prizes worth millions of rupees in addition to receiving attractive interest rates.

What are the types of accounts that qualify for the Pathum Vimana draw scheme?

Regular Savings Accounts - Individual/Joint Savings Accounts, Senior Citizens Savings Accounts

Minor Savings Accounts - Kirikatiyo Accounts, Singithi Lama Accounts, Teen Accounts

Personal Current Accounts - Individual/Joint Current Accounts with credit balances

Who is eligible for Pathum Vimana Draws?

Individuals who are opening/maintaining Sri Lankan Rupee Savings Accounts, Minor Savings Accounts, Current Accounts with minimum balances as indicated below will qualify for the draws provided the minimum balance is maintained for one calendar month immediately prior to the respective draws.

Types of Draws and Minimum Balances required

Year End Grand Draw, Year End Car Draw, Divi Diriya Draw, Harvest Draw (This Draw will be held in October), Year End Branch Based Draw

 Maintain a minimum balance of LKR 10,000 in a Savings, Minors' Savings or Current Account for a minimum period of one calendar month immediately prior to the respective draws.

Year End Premium Draw Maintain a minimum balance of LKR 100,000 in a Savings, Minors' Savings Account or Current Account for a minimum period of one calendar month immediately prior to the draw.

Weekly TV Game Show To participate in the Weekly TV Game Show, a new deposit of LKR 10,000 should be made with a duly filled coupon. TV Game Show coupons are available at all HNB Customer Centers.

Am I entitled to multiple chances on my deposit?

(Harvest Draw, Divi Diriya Draw, Year End Branch Based Draw, Year End Car Draw, Year End Grand Draw, Year End Premium Draw)

Yes. All qualifying account-holders are entitled to multiple chances at the draws. The number of chances depend on the amount in the account (one extra chance for every multiple of the minimum deposit) and the period (one extra chance for every month) during which the amount has been maintained in the account.

Do I receive any interest on my Pathum Vimana Savings Account?

Yes, you are entitled to 4% p.a interest rate for your deposit.

What terms and conditions apply?

  • The minimum balance should be maintained for a period of one calendar month immediately prior to the respective draws.
  • Entry deposits should be made on or before the first working day of the respective month. If made thereafter, the account will be eligible for the Draw from the following month.
  • The number of chances at the draw depends on the amount in the account (one extra chance for every multiple of the minimum deposit) and the period (one extra chance for every month) during which the amount has been maintained in the account.
