Appointed Chairperson on 31st March 2011. Dr (Mrs) Jayamaha is currently an Advisor to His Excellency the President.She had been the Deputy Governor in charge of Financial System Stability of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka from 2004 up to her retirement at end of May 2009. She has over 37 years of extensive experience in the fields of economics, banking, finance, regulation and administration, having held a number of positions in the Central Bank and outside.
While on release from the Central Bank, she has served as Secretary - Presidential Commission on Finance & Banking, Advisor - Financial Sector Reform Committee, Ministry of Finance, Special Advisor (Economic) - Common Wealth Secretariat, London, U.K. In addition, Dr Jayamaha has been a Member of the Working Group on General Payment System Development of the Bank for International Settlements, Member of the Global Payments Forum, Member of the Advisory Panel of the G-8 Remittances Working Group and Member of the Expert Panel of the Safeguard Assessment Policy Review 2010 of the IMF.
She has been a Member of the Securities & Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka, the Insurance Board of Sri Lanka, the Chairperson of the Credit Information Bureau of Sri Lanka and the National Payments Council.

Appointed Director/General Manager/Chief Executive Officer in December 2004. He was appointed Managing Director in December 2005. Member of the Corporate Management of HNB since 1997. He counts over 26 years of experience in banking both in Europe and Sri Lanka.
He is a director of all the Group companies within HNB and also serves as Chairman of Lanka Financial Services Bureau, member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants Sri Lanka Governing Board, member of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce EXCO, member of the Sri Lanka Auditing Quality Assurance Board and Council Member of the Sri Lanka Institute of Directors. Mr Theagarajah is a past Chairman of the Sri Lanka Banks' Association and Past President of the Association of Professional Bankers. He is the first Sri Lankan to assume Chairmanship of the Asian Bankers' Association from November 1st 2010 for a two-year tenure.

He had chaired the Sri Lanka Association of Manufacturers and Exporters of Rubber Products, served as a Committee Member of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce and had been its representative on the National Labour Advisory Council. He is past President of the Sri Lanka-France Business Council.

Ms Cooray had a distinguished career of over 35 years with the Central Bank of Sri Lanka and the Ministry of Finance and served as Secretary to the Monetary Board of Sri Lanka prior to her retirement in May 2009. From 1999 - 2004, she served as the Director General - Fiscal Policy and Economic Affairs Department of the Ministry of Finance, on release from the Central Bank. During that period, she served on the Boards of DFCC Bank, Ceylon Electricity Board, Sri Lanka Export Development Board, Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology, Sri Lanka Telecom Ltd., De La Rue Lanka Currency and Security Print (Pvt.) Ltd. and Tariff Advisory Council representing the Government of Sri Lanka. She has been the Vice Chairperson of the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka from 2005 - 2009.

Appointed director on 31st March 2011. Dr Gamage currently serves as the Secretary to the Ministry of State Resources & Enterprises Development, while serving as the Chairman/CEO of the Strategic Enterprise Management Agency (SEMA).
He has over 30 years of wide experience in the public, private and non-governmental organisations, having served several of such organisations in different capacities. He has extensive experience in formulating and implementing several projects on poverty alleviation, local economic development, promoting alternative energy generation and enhancing capacities in public enterprises.
Dr Gamage has also contributed immensely to the local and regional development initiatives in the areas of Rural Water Supply and Sanitation, Small Scale Fisheries Development, Community Development, Municipal Solid Waste Management, Rural Enterprise Development and Rural Housing Development.
Dr Rohan Karunaratne

Dr Karunaratne is the incumbent president of the Ceylon Institute of Builders (CIOB), engaged in developing the construction industry and construction builders in Sri Lanka. He is the Managing Director of A.K.K.Engineers (Pvt) Ltd., an Engineering Company specialized in building construction, civil engineering, water supply and waste water, construction of swimming pools and now in road construction, the Chairman of Associated Motor Finance Co Ltd and is also the Deputy Chairman of the International Institute of Management.
He has over 27 years of experience in Civil Engineering, Building Construction, Engineering Consultancy, Construction Training, lecturing in Civil Construction, Designing & Planning. He was the past Chairman of the National Construction Association of Sri Lanka and was the first Chairman of Human Resource Development (Pvt) Ltd.
Dr Karunaratne holds a PhD in Management and a MBA from the Sussex University (UK). He is an Engineering Graduate of the University of Hindustan and an advanced Diploma holder in HIET (Chennai - India). He is a Fellow of the International Institute of Management and a Fellow of the Ceylon Institute of Builders.
Ms. K A L Thushari Ranaweera

Appointed Company Secretary on 2nd January 2012. She is also the Assistant General Manager - Legal of the bank. Mrs Ranaweera who is the recipient of Ladduwahetty Trust - Gold Medal for Excellence awarded at Sri Lanka Law College for the best student in 1991 is having 20 years experience in the field of Banking and is holding a Master of Law Degree from University of Cambridge, UK. Before joining HNB, she worked as the Assistant Vice President - Legal at National Development Bank PLC (NDB Bank) and had been the Assistant Company Secretary at NDB Bank during 2001 to 2010. She was the Company Secretary of NDB Investment Bank Limited from 1999 till October 2010 and held the Company Secretary post of HNB Assurance PLC and Sithma Development Pvt Ltd for a short period.
