  1. The Bank has paid an interim dividend of Rs.1.50 per share for each voting and non-voting share on 24th November 2010.

    HNB has declared a final dividend of Rs.5.50 per share for each voting and non-voting share on 18th February 2011 for the year 2010, subject to shareholder approval.

    The Board of Directors of the Bank has approved sub division of ordinary shares (voting and non-voting). Under the subdivision 1 ordinary share will be issued for every 2 existing ordinary shares (voting and non-voting share).

HNB Debenture issue 2011/21

HNB Debenture Issue 2011/21 will be listed on the CSE shortly by way of an introduction. The salient features of the Debentures are as follows:

Instrument Unsecured Subordinated Redeemable Ten (10) year Debentures

Fixed Interest rate of 11.50% p.a. payable semi-annually from the Date of Allotment until the expiry of Ten (10) years (giving an Effective Annualized Yield or AER of 11.83%) on the principal sum of the Debentures. The tenor of the Debenture will be Ten (10) years.
Face value of each Debenture LKR 100.00
Issue Price Debentures were issued at LKR 100.00 each
Amount Raised LKR 2 billion
Number of Debentures to be Listed 20,000,000
Rate of Interest (Yield) Fixed Interest rate of 11.50% p.a. payable semi-annually from the Date of Allotment until the expiry of Ten (10) years from the Date of Allotment.
Date of Maturity On completion of Ten (10) years from the Date of Allotment of the Debentures
Debenture Issue Rating Fitch Ratings Lanka has assigned a National Rating of 'A+ (lka)'
