For whom is a HNB Teen Account?
- A HNB Teen Account is for 12+ to 18 year olds
Who can open the account?
- Parents, aunts, uncles and relatives of the teenager
What documents are needed to open the account?
- A copy of the child's Birth Certificate
- An account opening mandate and KYC documents
- A copy of the NIC/Passport of the parent/guardian
Where can the account be opened?
- At any of our Customer Centres island wide
- At any of our Students Savings Units maintained at schools
- At our overseas representative offices
What is the minimum amount required to open the account?
- LKR 500/-
- A balance of LKR 10,000/- should be maintained to enjoy benefits under HNB Teen
What is the interest paid?
- An interest of 1% above the normal savings rate will be paid for accounts with a balance of LKR 10,000/- and above

- Eligibility for Pathum Vimana draw – Your child's HNB Teen account with a balance of LKR 10,000/- or above will be eligible for Pathum Vimana, Sri Lanka's biggest prize draw
