How can I open a RNNFC Savings Account?

This account can be opened by Non Nationals who are either temporarily or permanently resident in Sri Lanka on resident visas.

1. Download account opening forms or collect them from one of our Customer Centres.

2. Complete the form, sign and present them to a Customer Centre convenient to you, along with your Passport and valid resident visa.

What are the advantages of maintaining a RNNFC Account?

Non Nationals can save their earnings in foreign currency while they are employed in Sri Lanka on a resident visa.

What deposits are permitted to a RNNFC Account?

• Inward remittances received in favour of account holder
• Earnings from employment (documentary proof in the form of employment contract, valid resident visa. Approval from Exchange Control is not required).
• Interest payable on accounts

What withdrawals are permitted to a RNNFC Account?

• Outward remittances
• Release of foreign currency for travel purposes on production of air tickets (release of foreign currency notes is limited to USD 2,500/-)
• Fund transfer to SIA
• Local disbursements in Sri Lanka Rupees
