In addition HNB has its own staff members stationed in Kuwait, Bahrain and United Arab Emirates (Dubai and Bur Dubai) to help those who need to know and avail of HNB's products and services.
Majan Exchange LLC, Oman (02 remittance centres i.e. Ruwi and Ghala), and Delma Exchange UAE (05 remittance centres i.e. Abhu Dhabi, Hamdan Street, Musaffah, Al Quoz and Karama) are remittance houses overseas managed by HNB, in which the Bank has a stake and this is another unique step HNB has taken in supporting its Nationals employed overseas.
Sri Lankan Nationals residing in Sri Lanka are permitted to open and maintain Resident Foreign Currency Accounts (RFCA) while Sri Lankans working abroad are permitted to open and maintain Non Resident Foreign Currency Accounts (NRFC)
Sri Lankans now domiciled overseas could also open and maintain NRFC Accounts in the capacity of former Sri Lankans.
In another unique scheme parents employed overseas could open Singithi Foreign Currency Accounts for their minor children and encourage them to save for their future.
NRFC Account holders can rest assured under "Millenium Shield" a free life insurance cover. (Please be advised that conditions apply)
Are you a non Sri Lankan planning a holiday in Sri Lanka? You could open a Non Resident Non National Foreign Currency Account (NRNNFC) and remit your money in advance and when you arrive in Sri Lanka make use of the funds. Its safe and convenient.
Currently there are many remittance houses using "HNB's CashXpress System" for their remittances. Be sure you visit one of these remittance houses for your remittances to Sri Lanka.
HNB is also the "Super Agent" in Sri Lanka to receive payments through MoneyGram for worldwide destinations.
Members of Diplomatic Missions and their family members are permitted to open Diplomatic Foreign Currency Accounts (DFC) and Diplomatic Rupee Accounts (DRA)
