Project Financing

Project Financing focuses on assisting entrepreneurs based upon the viability of the project and after evaluating the project prospects. The objective of project financing is to ensure that the country's resources are as close to the optimum capacity in order to generate maximum profit, employment opportunities and expansion into foreign markets.

The HNB Project Division assists the customers from the very earliest stages of the enquiry to the disbursement and optimum utilization of the funds. The division will dispense advice and expertise in selection of machinery, plant and equipment as well as coordinating with branches throughout the country to assist in the setting up and operating the project.

The project division is also distributed amongst the HNB branch network, to offer the services of the division to small-scale loan projects. The branch staff are specially trained to cater to the needs and requirements of the SME (Small and Medium Enterprise) sector. This set up allows expedited service provision to the small entrepreneurs whilst higher valued projects are serviced from the head office where facilities specifically catering to these types of projects are available.

HNB expects an encouraging environment and more opportunities in project financing activities in the coming years. The Bank has identified the following sectors, which have a growth potential and is actively seeking projects in these sectors:

  • Food & Beverage
  • Garments
  • Health Services
  • Leisure – Local, Overseas
